Bifenthrin is the active ingredient found in Onyx, Baseline, Bifen XTS and Talstar insecticides / atulticides.

Formulated with the power and reliability of bifenthrin, these insecticides deliver impressive knockdown and lasting residual protection against common mosquito species. In fact, research has shown that bifenthrin has a significantly longer residual than competitive pyrethroids and is less affected by light and soil degradation.

Because of its unique chemical makeup, bifenthrin won’t irritate mosquitoes like deltamethrin and permethrin can, causing the mosquitoes to avoid extended contact with treated surfaces. Trials compared the time mosquitoes remained on paper treated with various insecticides. Even at double the labeled application rate, mosquitoes lingered on bifenthrin-treated paper almost ten times longer than they did on paper treated with other insecticides.

In addition to mosquitoes, bifenthrin insecticides achieve long-lasting, broad spectrum control of 75 pests, including ants, termites, cockroaches, spiders, bed bugs, fleas and ticks. And with its flexible label, Talstar Professional is approved in multiple use-sites, so you can use it indoors and out, in industrial, commercial and food-handling areas.
